Day 9
Kaeden and I went for a walk today on a search for ducks.
Have you ever seen a duck like this?
There didn't used to be ducks in any of our ponds but lately I've seen a few. We had bread ready to go in case they were hungry but we had no luck. They swam the other way.
But seriously, I've never seen a duck like this! FUNKY! This isn't the best shot. I was zoomed in to 120mm and then had to do a 100% crop in photoshop to really be able to get a good view of it! Crazy looking right?
We headed back home to eat some lunch to find more of these pesky little caterpillars on our doorstep. Kaeden loves them, he's always looking for the 'capas'.
However, these things will KILL the tree we have out front. They will literally multiply by thousands, take over the tree, and devour the thing in a matter of days. Hate to kill the poor little guys but we can't have a huge dead tree in the front yard.

That is such a weird looking duck! Very cool though! I love the caterpillar shot - how can such a cute little thing like that shouldn't be able to wreak such destruction - it's not right!
Looks like a Hooded Merganser duck, perhaps headed back home.

Your little boy is such a cutie. I have a 2-year-old boy too. He is super active and keeps me busy. Boys are fun!

Allison, that caterpillar is crazy and beautiful! I love it. Gorgeous. I've never seen one like that.
