Jarett has been smiling for about a week now but not consistently and I wasn't completely convinced it was real. I hadn't got 'that feeling' about it yet. That was until today. He started off the day by showing me a huge toothless grin while looking me straight in the eye and it lasted more than a split second like before. This kid completely melts my heart! He's been smiling all day now every time I talk to him and smile at him. I just love this stage. Finally no longer just a blob of a baby. ;) So I guess this is his first milestone. He'll be 5 weeks old tomorrow.
He's also reached another milestone. Maybe not as big of a deal as smiling but its a big deal to us! He no longer screams every time we put him in the swing and will even fall asleep there! I have proof!

The swaddle in the crib is a lifesaver! I'm so glad you kept trying and he likes it now! I hated parting with my swing. I just wish I still had my travel swing for you! Darn!

I just love this stage as well. Can't decide which is my favorite, so I'll just say ALL of them. I see he still got his hands out of there, though. A 5 week old, and a 5 year old. You certainly have beautiful babies....
