We had a pretty low key 4th of July weekend this year. Usually we get a ton of fireworks to set off but we didn't go that route this year. Saturday night we had a few people over to watch the UFC fights. I managed to watch at least the last half. The first half was spent getting my little fussy baby to sleep. ;)
We were all lazy during the day on Sunday then went to dinner at Jeremy's parents house. We grilled burgers and dogs and Kaeden enjoyed some pool time. I didn't get many pictures over there but did manage to get one of me and Jarett together. I wanted to show of his cute outfit for his first holiday!
Kaeden's Dad bought him some fireworks to set off since Jeremy and I were slackers and didn't get any. We waited for it to get dark... and a again for me to get the baby to sleep before setting them off. Kaeden was so excited to see them. He set up camp on the tailgate of the truck to watch the show. ;)
Once we got them started it was fun and I got some cool shots of them.
There were also sparklers for Kaeden to do. He was really in to them this year.
All in all it was a fun and relaxing day. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday spent with friends and family and most of all remembered the reason we celebrate it! I am so thankful for my freedom and for the people that defend and protect it!

Great shot of you and Jarett....Kaeden looks tired, or bored.....but can somewhat see the mohawk. Lets see a good shot of it. Saw another young kid in Target today with one, actually. Looks so cute.
yeah he was tired. it was almost 10pm by the time we got started. so yeah... tired. definitely NOT bored. ;)
