Yesterday...

was a good day!

Kaeden and I had a 'date day'. We spent the day together out and about. First I took him to Barnes and Noble to look at books and play with the train table. He loves going to the bookstore. I love the fact that I can finally take him there without him throwing a fit when its time to go. He's improved so much in that area lately and its soooo nice.

He didn't find a book that he wanted (thats ok because he'll be getting some for his birthday) but I did. My friend Trisha recommended a series of books to me that sounded really good. They're about vampires. Ever since the show 'Moonlight' came out, I've been a kinda in to vampires. Maybe its just the fact that the lead vamp is freaking HOT. lol. That could be it. Anyway, the first book is called 'Twilight' and I've already read like 75 pages of it. I'm glad I went ahead and bought the second book because I know I'll want it as soon as I'm done with this one.

After the book store we made a quick trip to target where he was, again, an angel. Then since we had a little time to spare before the movie started we swung in to get my eye brows threaded. He was really good just sitting there waiting for Mommy to get finished. He just sat and played with his new Bob the Builder Forklift toy. On a side note, the way he says 'forklift' is so stinkin' cute. I make him say it all the time. I really should get it on video for you guys. It took me forever to realize what he was saying because it sounds nothing like 'forklift'.... he says it like 'fusswuss' . bwahahaha. It really is just too cute.

So then it was on to our movie date! I have never taken Kaeden to the movie theater and I've really been wanting to lately so yesterday was the day. I had been planning on taking him to see Kung Fu Panda but after showing him the trailer for the new Disney movie Wall E he insisted that we go see that one instead. He was pumped up, I was a little nervous about how he would be and if it would be a waste of money. I was convinced he'd be ready to go after 20 minutes.

I let him pick out some candy (gummy bears was his choice), got a cherry coke for myself (of course) and kept my bag of Target popcorn secretly hidden in my purse. A quick potty break and then we headed in to the theatre. He was a little unsure when we first walked in. It was already dark and a bit loud. But I assured him it was ok. As soon as he saw the big screen he was THRILLED. He wanted to sit up close so I let him pick our seats. Wouldn't you know my child sat through that ENTIRE movie. He got up a couple of times but didn't try to wander. He probably just needed to stretch his legs since for most of the movie his feet were next to his head. lol. He's still too small for those movie seats I guess and it kept pushing his legs up. He didn't seem to mind though. He loved the movie though and afterwards he was running around going 'boop boop boop, POW' and pretending to blow stuff up. Crazy kid.

So, yes, yesterday was a good day! He was so good that the fact that he pooped in his underwear at Barnes and Noble was no big deal. I'm just glad I had an extra pair in my bag.

Could it be that the terrible twos are on there way out the door just a week shy of his 3rd birthday! OH let it be so, please let it be so!
