A New Spot... and an ouchie :(

Its a yucky overcast day today, perfect for taking pictures! No harsh shadows or squinty eyes... I love it. I decided we'd go on a little adventure to find me some new spots for shoots. Low and behold I found a little treasure right across the street. There's a new neighborhood going up and they already have the lakes, play area, and walkways finished, although there are NO houses anywhere near them. I'll be going back here with some potential clients I think. I should be able to take advantage of this little hot spot for a while!

There are paved walkways that go around the play area and lake, with tons of pretty greenery and benches to stop and sit on. We decided we'd walk along and see what kind of bugs we could find.
All was well and good until he tripped on the uneven pavement and skinned his knee. OUCH.

Really, how pitiful is he? You'd think someone had chopped his leg off or something.


He was upset that he couldn't walk the rest of the trail because his knee hurt. He wanted to go back home and get a bandaid. Poor kid.

So there's my little trip for the day. We came home and cleaned his knee, complete with neosporin and a couple of bandaids. He was very appreciative to his Mama, so cute. Of course, now he's walking around here like his leg is broken, milking it for all its worth... just like a male. 

I'm really excited to have found somewhere close by that I can go to for sessions. There were much more trees and quaint little spots than were in the pictures. There wasn't anybody out there either so it'd be nice and private. YAY!  Not to mention there's a playground for Kaed to play on! Double YAY!

Oh, and isn't Kaed's outfit the cutest!? It was a birthday gift from his Aunt Keri and Uncle Lyndon.... and cousin Aubrey! Thanks guys! It fits perfect and its super cute!
