A man, a 3 year old and a 130 pound dog and get your grout dirty REAL fast! (I may contribute just a LITTLE. ;)). I mop (bissell :)) the floors every other day or so which keeps the tile clean but man the grout sure does suffer!
Luckily I'm marrying Mr. Clean so he knew just what to do to take care of it. I was all ready to hire someone to come in and do it but it was REALLY expensive. Well, I'm so glad we didn't because it really isn't that hard to do and it looks SO much better.
I'm not done by any means but I knocked out most of the high traffic areas in the living room and kitchen. I still need to do the eat in and the hallway and then that should pretty much take care of it.

Do tell, what's the secret? I HATE the grout we have with a passion. There is just no way to keep it clean. I've been meaning to look and see if there's some sealant or something we can use, but it never seems to make it to the top of the priority list. Short of making the kids scrub with old toothbrushes it just never gets clean. Ugh.
I must know... what's your secret, my grout looks awful!
thanks girls. no big secret really. i just put some dawn in a bowl of warm water and used a scrub brush on the grout. i didn't really have to scrub too long. Then I just wiped the soap away with a damp cloth and dried with a towel. viola!
ohhh niiiiice! are you still loving your steamer? I have been eye-balling one!
