We have a new pet!

Today Kaeden had his first dental visit and while I did take my camera, I never took it out because I didn't want to distract him from what was going on. He did wonderfully though! I kinda figured he'd do pretty good. He's always been great at the doctors office and he lets me brush his teeth really well. He's pretty outgoing and social overall. He let the hygienist look in his mouth, brush and floss, and put flouride on his teeth. He even let her take x rays of his whole mouth. He was such a little champ today. He was totally excited that he got to pick a toy afterwards too. Plus he got a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and some other little goodies. I'm so proud of him today!

Oh and best of all NO CAVITIES! yay! Hopefully he didn't inherit my cavity prone teeth!

Ok so yesterday I had told him that if he did a good job at the dentist we would go to the pet store and he could pick out a new fish for his tank. So off we went to Petsmart to get a beta fish. Turns out what he really wanted was a crab so we ended up with a new fish AND a crab. He picked it out himself and we even got him his own little 'beach front' home and everything. It was so cute to see Kaeden so excited. He held on to the container the whole way home. He would hug it and tell the crab 'i love you hermit crab'. I'd here him back there saying 'you ok crab?' if we went over a bump or something. Too cute, really.

As soon as we got home we set everything up in the cage and put the crab in. As you can see, Titan is JUST as interested in it as Kaeden.

Maybe even MORE interested. lol.

Kaeden absolutely LOVES this thing. He keeps going back in his room to 'check on him' and when he's inside his shell he says....'shhhhhh mommy he's sleepin'.

We'll be giving Mr. Crab a bath tomorrow so I'll be sure to take some better and closer up pics of him. Hopefully by tomorrow he'll have a name too. I keep asking Kaed what his name is and he just says 'hermit crab'. lol.
