Birthday Par-tay!

Last week was a crazy busy week, hence no blogging. We got new furniture delive red (pics to come soon) so I had to go shopping for, you know, pillows, baskets, all sorts of decorative thingies.... new bedspreads! Fun fun fun. Not to mention I had to work a couple of days and prepare for K's birthday party!

I had to work on the 4th but afterwards we hung out with our friends, setting of fireworks in the street. Gotta love having a HUGE fireworks store right down the road. I didn't bring my camera so no pics from that... but we had a wonderful time (except for the devilish mosquitos).

Sunday the 5th was Kaeden's 4th birthday party. His birthday is actually on the 9th, and his cousin Dylan's was on the 3rd (he turned 6), so we had a joint party for them since they are BFFs. LOL. I was a gorgeous sunny day, perfect for the pool party we had planned. We had a good turnout and it was great to see everyone and their kiddo's.

After some swimming time, the boys were ready for presents, so we did those first! Kaeden was very serious about it.

Then it was on to the C A K E !! Spiderman has been the request for the last couple of months. Funny because he never watches Spiderman and doesn't have any of the toys. But of course the request was granted! lol.

Dylan had a Kunfu Panda cake, same as last year. hehehe.

Soon after cake we headed home to check out all the loot, clean up, and do some yard work. Kaed loved all his new stuff and was quick to put on all his Bumble Bee Transformer gear.

Oh, and we had to give Kaeden his present from us. Since it didn't really make sense to bring a new bike to the pool, we waited until afterwards. The helmet was Kaeden's first clue and Jer helped him get it on his noggin nice and snug.

He took it for a test drive a little later as Jer mowed the yard on his new riding lawnmower. I think its a tie for who loves their new toy more!

Phew. What a day that was!

Kaeden was thoroughly happy with his day and now thinks that its SO COOL that he's FOUR! I tried explaining that his birthday isn't really until Thursday but he's not really getting that concept. ;) The minute he blew those candles out he was 4.
