What we've been up to

Just trying to catch the blog up today! I haven't posted in over a week... YIKES! I've been snapping just like normal though so I'll catch up today.

We've just been hanging out, getting Jeremy ready to start school, watching flowers bloom, spending time with the family.

We have an aloe plant in the back yard and it finally started to grow flowers. We've been watching it change slowly, day by day. Here's a neat shot I got of it last week.

I lured Kaeden to the window to try out my new lens the other day. He had fun blowing all the dust everywhere when I pulled the blinds up. Great!
Lately Kaeden has been a real bear to put to bed. I'm thinking its because he'd still been taking 2 hour naps during the day, sometimes sleeping until 4pm. On the days he didn't get a nap he always went to be just fine because he was so tired. So, I decided that it was time to say goodbye to the long naps. He can cat nap in the car or on the couch or take a short nap at home. But not too long because he WILL go to bed at 8pm like normal. So, since this new routine has gone in to place he's been falling asleep in the car...  ALOT. I shot this one yesterday. lol. Jeremy was thanking God we had tinted windows for fear someone may pass us and think we were holding a child hostage. lol.
Kaeden's new cool think is eating cereal WITH milk in the mornings. He's always just liked dry cereal and a sippy of milk. But the other day he asked for the milk ON the cereal so we gave it a try. He does really well with it, to my surprise. The only thing was, he still wanted a sippy of milk since he couldn't really drink the milk out of the bowl. Well, I saw this at good 'ole Publix the other day... problem solved. He thinks its the coolest thing. He hadn't got a chance to use it until this morning and it was the first thing he asked for. ''Mommy I want cereal with a straw on'' is how he asked me for it. Took me a minute to realize what he was talking about. :)

So thats what we've been up to the last week or so. I'll try to be better about posting this week!
