This is a picture of the airforce back in the 1940's here in Jacksonville.

They had a whole room full of life size sea life. It was hard to get good pics though since all the walls were dark blue.

This is a shot especially for my friend Meghan. :) The Torpedo! LMAO. I couldn't help but think of you girl!

The special exhibit on display right now is the Giant Insects. It was really neat. They had HUGE insects that moved and everything so you could really see how their bodies worked. Kaeden was NOT that in to it. He wouldn't walk in there by himself so either me or my mom had to carry him the whole time we were in this room. :)

This is a mosquito. It a completely accurate model, just magnified like a billion times! When you press a button you can see how a mosquito bites you! OUCH.
I can't remember what this one is. ;)
Huge grasshopper.
Preying mantis.
They have one room just full of fish tanks. Kaeden loves fish and was real excited to see a bunch of 'Nemo's'.
They also have plenty of dinosaur exhibits. Here is one of the skeletons.
Back to the whales... a humpback whale's vertebrae compared to a human's.
The have a kids play area too which Kaeden loved, of course!
We'll definitely be going back when they put some new exhibits on display.

Thanks for the thoughts! :) I have some fond memories of that torpedo... only because it's been long enough to forget how uncomfortable it is. ;)
