The Zoo

Earlier this week we took a little morning trip to the zoo. K had been asking me for days to see the elephants so finally we just went! It was a gorgeous day. The air was cool and the sun was warm so we had a nice time just walking around and seeing the animals. It also gave me a chance to take some pictures of things other than my kid. I wish I would have had time to take more but K disappears with a quickness and that doesn't leave me too much time to play. Nonetheless, I did get some pretty nice shots.

Bamboo

I think this flower looks like an origami bird.

These bongos are so intense. Everytime we see them they intently stare at you. It makes for a good photo!

The long awaited elephants he had been dying to see.

The flamingos were getting fed and making the loudest noises.

Here are a couple pics of water running out of a fountain. I was just playing around with shutter speed. This one was taken with a fast shutter speed to freeze the motion of the running water.

And this one was taken with a slow shutter speed to capture the motion.

And because no post would be complete without a pic of the kiddo, here he is licking the water flowing down a rock. Crazy kid I tell you!

K is hilarious. He must have you rolling all day!

Funny you posted zoo pics because Coop just went and LOVED, and I mean LOVED, the Flamingos. WTF?!?! Oh, he thoroughly enjoyed the monkeys with "purple butts" too. They'd have a blast together I think. ;)

Th flower shot is just beautiful too. Great job all around!
