Jarett has really been loving trains lately. It reminds me of how much Kaeden used to love them when he was the same age. He was obsessed with Thomas the Train. While J doesn't share the same obsession, he does really enjoy playing with them. We still have all the trains K collected years ago and he'd been playing with them by themselves, without a track.
Jeremy's boss gave us his kid's old train table they had outgrown. However, it was worn and needed some work before it could be used. In the meantime, Jarett had fun just playing with all the tracks and trains on the floor of the playroom.
I really wanted a new train table for the playroom rather than a refurbished one and Jeremy's mom actually had seen a nice one at Costco (of course) so she picked it up. Jeremy and I put it together one evening so it would be ready for him the next morning when he woke up. Kaeden was even excited for him to see it (and for himself too!... shhhhh, he likes playing with it almost as much as J) and made sure he went straight to the playroom when he woke up.
He plays with it all the time now. It's great to actually have something that occupies him for a while and that the boys can do together!
