While Jarett and I were out front watering the plants I kept hearing this tiny little chirp close by. Then I noticed a Mama bird flying back and forth in front of our house and into our bottle brush tree. When I took a closer look in the tree I could see a little nest. The nest itself was empty but up near the top of the tree, near our roof, was this baby bird. She obviously wasn't that young because she was able to leave the nest some, but still young enough that her Mama was feeding her. The baby would wait patiently and quietly but when she heard her Mama coming she would start tweeting so loud with the sweetest little chirp. Mama would feed her and then take right back off to search for more. It was really sweet and I just wish I could have gotten a picture of her actually holding her mouth open. It happened too fast though and the Mama was scaring me. Felt like she was gonna attack me at any moment.
Here's Mama. Scary right?
My mom told me what kind of bird it was but I've forgotten.
